1. Initial Discussion
We start by discussing the problems you've noticed, where and when they occur, and whether any previous repairs or treatments have been carried out.
2. Property Inspection
Affected areas are carefully inspected for signs of damp, mould, condensation, staining, damaged finishes and moisture-related deterioration.
3. Moisture Assessment
Specialist moisture-testing equipment is used where appropriate to gather further information about moisture levels in walls, floors and other building materials.
4. External Checks
Where accessible, we inspect external areas for potential sources of moisture, including roofing defects, gutters and downpipes, brickwork, pointing and openings around windows and doors.
5. Identifying the Cause
We consider the inspection findings, moisture readings, property construction and visible symptoms together to establish the likely source and cause of the problem.
6. Detailed Written Report
Following the survey, you'll receive a comprehensive written report explaining our findings, supported by photographs where appropriate, along with clear, practical recommendations for the next steps.
